Solution file with many project tabs

Solution file with many project tabs

Postby grundy » Mon Aug 31, 2009 11:40 pm

Hi .. good job gents

Would be nice to have the right click drop-down specifying which tabs should be hidden, so several tabs could be check/unchecked, and have a 'close this window' button.

Perhaps the right click functionality could also be extended to allow a project to be selected (ie: to set the focus in tree view to the desired project) rather than just to hide/unhide. I reckon this would make navigating projects much less frustrating.

PS: would also be nice to be able to select a project in Briefcase view and easily jump back to that project in tree view .......

Hi Robbp

I think most of these things are solved in Amode V2 due out in two or three weeks in two ways:

The GUI (Layout) has been modified so that tabs for 10+ projects will all be visible at the same time
There is now a Briefcase tab at the end of the project tabs which allows you to jump for Briefcase to Project and back at a single click.

Hi again,

I've upgraded to Amode V2 but still find navigating around project tabs to be quite annoying. Amode V2 definately helps to make tabs on the project bar less truncated, but moving between projects or jumping to briefcase mode still requires scrolling of the project bar (the Amode solution file I use on a regular basis has 15 or so projects in it). The right click functionality on the project bar enables tabs to be hidden/unhidden - for me at least, it would be very usefull to extend this functionality to enable jumping to a specific project or to briefcase mode (I think this would this would be much quicker than scrolling through tabs).

Cheers,
Rob.
